Although not Scandinavian, Howard Lieberman moved to the Twin Cities in 1990 after 16 years in New York, where he practiced corporate and tax law at two midtown Manhattan law firms. Howard also spent some time as a professional wine buyer and marketing manager in the East Village.
An accomplished legal recruiter, Howard has worked with clients and candidates all over the world and at every level of experience. Practice group and law firm mergers have been a particular focus of his for the last several years.
Howard lives on Lily Lake in the once bucolic but now overdeveloped town of Stillwater, Minnesota, where he ice fishes sporadically, skis often, and sometimes misses New York more than he likes to admit.
Nancy Nelson began her professional life as a corporate media producer, spending time in several cities, including a long stint in Paris. She returned to the Twin Cities to be closer to her family and took her law degree magna cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law. Nancy joined Howard Lieberman and Associates in 1991 and helped shape it into the nationally recognized firm it is today. Ms. Nelson now lives with her woodburning stove in the Wisconsin bluffs above the St. Croix River. She brings her big rescue dog to the office and back each day while listening to books on her iPod.
