Fees and Guarantees for Contingent Law Firm Searches
Our customary contingent search fee (the “Placement Fee”) for the placement of an attorney in a law firm of 100 or more attorneys is 30% of the placed attorney’s aggregate compensation for the first full year of employment. For law firms of under 100 attorneys, the Placement Fee is 25%. The Placement Fee is due and payable within 10 (ten) days of a candidate’s first day of employment.
Although the Placement Fee is fully earned on the placed attorney’s first day of employment, we offer a 6-month pro-rata guarantee on all attorneys placed by our firm. In the event a placed attorney leaves or is terminated during the first 6 months of employment, we will reimburse one-sixth of the Placement Fee for each month remaining in the 6-month guarantee period. For example, if a placed attorney leaves or is terminated four months into his or her employment, we will reimburse two-sixths of the Placement Fee.

In a retained search our fees are negotiated on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the size of the client, the complexity of the search, and the amount of time we expect to devote to the search in lieu of other recruiting projects.

Our law firm clients regularly seek our inside experience as former attorneys for their merger and acquisition ventures, as well as for a variety of structural issues that arise in their daily operations.
